Damages for Wrongful Eviction

A client with mental illness was wrongfully evicted and filed her own appeal. She then contacted CPLP and was paired with a volunteer attorney who took over the case and obtained a remand from the appellate court. The case proceeded to a second trial, where the client ultimately showed that she had been wrongfully evicted and obtained damages for the premature termination of her lease.
